Career days 2015

We will once again host the VBC Career days, specially targeted for PhD Students and Postdocs from IMP/IMBA/GMI*. 

This year there will be two main events:

Time: 9:00 am – 18:00 pm

Target audience: PhD students (in their 3rd or 4th year) and Postdocs who need support with career management and career development

Number of participants: 30


  • To familiarise participants with the expectations of the business sector towards applicants and the entry criteria
  • To inform participants about necessary additional skills and qualifications to develop their career, to get attractive internships and jobs
  • To prepare participants for job applications – condensing everything an applicant has to do or fulfill
  • To enable participants to create job winning CVs
  • To ensure that the participants have the skills necessary to succeed in job interviews
  • To prepare the participants for contract negotiations, both in Europe and internationally
  • To visualise career tracks in industry

#The concept for this workshop was put together by the four Research Institutes, together with Mediatum.

Career Symposium

During this day you will have the opportunity to listen, and ask questions, to a variety of speakers (many of them VBC alumni) following different non-academic (but research- or science-related) career paths. No registration required.
